Navigating Project Monitoring: practices, challenges, and new perspectives

Project reporting monitoring closing Project life cycle

Outline

Project management and monitoring have evolved rapidly in recent years: increasing use of digital tools, a stronger focus on results, wider use of SCOs, a shift from control to coaching, continuous changes in our operating environment, and growing expectations around sustainability monitoring.

Join us for a two-day workshop focused on project monitoring and reporting, managing project changes, and identifying and mitigating risks. We will briefly explore emerging trends that are reshaping project management today. We will also include sessions on soft skills – dedicated to trust-building and effective conflict management, both essential in our daily work.

Objectives

The workshop aims to:

  • Share experiences and practices.
  • Identify what works well and where challenges remain.
  • Jointly explore possible solutions related to project monitoring, reporting, project changes, and risk management.

In addition, the workshop will:

  • Deepen knowledge on trust-building and conflict management – skills essential for effective cooperation.
  • Provide space to reflect on new trends in project management and what they may mean for Interreg.
  • Have a horizontal approach in linking financial perspective into the implementation topics.

Who is it for

This event is for Interreg programme staff who work with project support, monitoring, changes on every day bases. The workshop will be very active, with a lot of exchange, so we expect active participation. To keep it effective, we can welcome only 1–2 people per programme.

Please note!

This is a repeat of the workshop held in March 2025.

Format

The workshop combines peer exchange, concrete cases, skill training and reflections. Active participation will be essential to get the most out of the workshop.
