2028-2034 Programming preparation process - challenges and needs

General

Context

The next programming period 2028-2034 is approaching very fast, and even though there are still plenty of unknow issues (i.e. final budget allocations), or uncertain (drafts of the regulations, still to be subject of negotiations within “trilogues”), some documents are already available allowing to initiate design of the future Interreg programme (i.e. border profile papers). Therefore, it is the right time to initiate exchanges and discussions how Interreg programmes tackles the programming process.

Objectives

The main objective of the webinar is to allow for Interreg programmes to exchange on the status of the programming process, including their approach to territorial analysis and the identification of potential challenges. It will also help identify key support needs during this initial stage of programming. Based on the discussion, Interact aims to design and adapt its support services to respond to programme needs in a timely and targeted manner.

 The session will focus on:

  • taking stock of where programmes currently stand in the programming process

  • identifying common challenges and areas where additional support may be beneficial

  • sharing initial experiences, approaches, timelines, and methods for needs and opportunities

Please note that, even though one of the biggest challenges for the next programming period is introduction of the “performance-based approaches” (P-BA), this webinar we will not cover this issue, as there is a separate, dedicated service concerning P-BA provided by Interact.

Who is this webinar for?

Interreg programme practitioners involved in preparations for post-2027.
