The Evaluation Report for Interreg Cooperation Day 2025 is now available, offering an overview of one of the largest communication initiatives celebrating European Territorial Cooperation. Since 2012, the campaign has brought people together through local events that show the value of collaboration across borders.
The 2025 edition registered 85 events, marking a 13% increase from 2024. Activities were organised in 29 countries and 68 cities, involving 39 Interreg programmes across 4 continents. This year’s geographical spread was broader than ever, with events also taking place outside Europe, including Comoros, Jordan and the USA.
Participation reached a remarkable level, with 50,815 attendees, more than doubling last year’s numbers. The wide mobilisation across programmes and strands continues to reflect the relevance of Interreg for local communities and partners.
On social media, the campaign achieved significant visibility, with a combined reach of 10,232,894 people across programme accounts.
Organisers expressed a high level of satisfaction with the campaign, rating it 9 out of 10. While this does not automatically guarantee broader participation next year, it confirms that the campaign maintains strong recognition and relevance.
Overall, the 2025 edition shows a steady consolidation of Interreg Cooperation Day: more events, more countries involved, higher attendance and a growing presence beyond European borders. The new Evaluation Report captures these trends and reinforces the message that cooperation continues to deliver tangible value to citizens across regions.
