Cooperation can be complex;
our job is to make it easier.

Working breakfast at the European Parliament: Bridging borders for a stronger Europe

Interact programme

The event will bring together representatives of Interreg programmes, Members of the European Parliament, Commission representatives, the diplomatic corps, and other Brussels stakeholders to explore how Interreg turns border challenges into joint solutions - strengthening Europe’s security and resilience, boosting competitiveness, and building stronger, more attractive communities and regions. It will showcase how Interreg programmes involving EU Member States, non-EU countries and the Outermost Regions (OMRs) build bridges across borders. Going beyond funding projects, cooperation strengthens institutional capacity, supports reforms, promotes policy alignment and builds trust - creating lasting partnerships that turn border challenges into joint solutions and contribute to a more resilient, connected and stable Europe.

The event will present real stories, of cooperation with a clear message on the contribution of Interreg to the EU agenda and the future of territorial cooperation.

It will focus on the following key topics:

  • Security and reforms through cooperation
  • Right to stay through cooperation
  • Governance through cooperation
  • Interreg in Action.

The event is hosted by Vladimir Prebilič, MEP.
