Interreg Conference – Transfer and Impact on the Territory, Part 2 Pilot Action: Building Synergies between Interreg Projects and Regional Policies in the Valencian Community

General

How can stronger synergies and coordination between Interreg and regional funding instruments help turn project results into lasting territorial impact?

Building on the challenges identified during last year's event, this second edition moves from identifying barriers to creating practical connections between Interreg projects, regional policies and funding opportunities.

Organised as a pilot initiative in cooperation with the Generalitat Valenciana, the event aims to strengthen collaboration between Interreg project beneficiaries, regional policymakers and authorities managing regional and EU funds.

A particular focus will be placed on exploring synergies between Interreg and regional funding instruments, including the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), to support the transfer, uptake and scaling up of successful cooperation results. By connecting solutions developed through Interreg with regional priorities and funding opportunities, the initiative seeks to extend their impact beyond individual projects and funding periods.

The programme will combine a roundtable with representatives of regional government departments and an interactive workshop to identify transferable project results, explore their relevance to regional priorities and identify concrete opportunities for collaboration in areas such as tourism, environment, water management and innovation.

The ambition is to move from cooperation projects to territorial transformation, demonstrating how better coordination between Interreg, regional policies and funding instruments can help turn tested solutions into lasting improvements in public policies, services and territorial development
