Goodbye cost checks? The future of control and audit post27

Post 2027 (Interreg VII) Audit Management verifications Performance-based approaches

As is clear from draft regulation for the post-27 programming period, the shift from a cost-based to a performance-based delivery mechanism will also bring significant changes to control and audit work. Understanding these practical implications is essential for Managing Authorities to build strong management and control systems.

This webinar represents a first step in exploring what lies ahead and how control and audit may look in the future. We will start with a short presentation on the draft regulation, move into interactive breakout discussions, and conclude with a plenary session to synthesize insights and establish a shared understanding of next steps.

Discussions on this theme will continue through various events throughout the year. We encourage participants who are interested and actively working on this topic to engage in this P-BA theme work. You may contact us directly to express your interest, as much work remains ahead.

What to expect?

·         Presentation: overview of the control and audit provisions in the draft regulations

·         Breakout discussions: explore practical implications, challenges, and areas needing clarification

·         Plenary synthesis: share insights, identify common understanding, and discuss takeaways

Who is it for?
