Employment & Inclusion across borders: project-based workshop from border to belonging
From border to belonging: Employment & Inclusion across borders is a hands-on policy lab in the Slovak–Hungarian border region, designed for those who want to understand what really works on the ground and why.
At a time when employment, skills and social inclusion challenges increasingly cut across administrative and national borders, this workshop moves beyond conference rooms and power point slides. Through on-site project visits and structured dialogue, participants will see how Interreg projects translate EU objectives into concrete solutions for people, labour markets and vulnerable groups and where cooperation delivers added value compared to mono-funded approaches.
For programme authorities, the event offers practical insights into results, impact and complementarities with other EU and national funds. For policymakers and European Commission services, it provides first-hand evidence of how territorial cooperation contributes to 'A more Social Europe', supports policy delivery, and generates transferable lessons that can inform future programming and reforms.
By putting projects, territories and actors at the centre, the workshop creates a rare space to connect policy ambition with implementation reality, identify what can be scaled or mainstreamed, and strengthen the role of Interreg in addressing Europe’s social and employment challenges.
The agenda will be available soon.
