State of Interreg 2025: most funding already allocated

The State of Interreg 2025 confirms that around 70% of Interreg funding has already been allocated, with more than €7.5 billion committed to nearly 6,000 projects.
This marks a clear shift in the implementation phase of the 2021–2027 period. Many programmes are now closing calls, running final or capitalisation calls, or approaching the end of their application pipelines.
For applicants and programme actors, this means fewer remaining opportunities and tighter timelines to position new projects.
