Interact's 2026 Work Plan is adopted

The Interact Monitoring Committee met in Oslo in November 2025 and, along several tasks and reports, adopted the proposed Work Plan for 2026 (subject to the agreement of the minutes and other procedural elements!).

The Interact Work Plan for 2026 includes: 

  • 100 events, of which more than 50% will be online 
  • 40 tools to support cooperation
  • 13 certified trainings as well as three more Certified Courses (three more to come online during the year) 
  • Other activities to support exchange between programmes. 

The first findings of the Interact IV Operational Evaluation were shared. They note the programme functions well and is achieving its key requirement, which includes changing mindsets and ensuring effective cooperation. It noted opportunitues for the programme to further improve, as well as reflection points on some of the complexity of the programme. The evaluation will be a topic of ongoing discussions as the it is finalised, and the findings are responded to.

The meeitng was followed by the first Interact V Programming Committee which agreed its Rules of Procedure and started to discuss the future programme. The Committee acknowledged letters of interest to join the Interact V programme from Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia.

Interact's latest Monitoring Committee meeting was itself was a wonderful exercise in cooperation between Poland and Norway, Poland held the rotating Chairmanship, which follows the rotating European Council presidency with a six month delay, As a non-Member State, Norway does not feature in the rotation, and this close cooperation meant that they could host the Monitoring Committee, Thanks to the excellent cooperation, Norway was able to host its first MC meeting and brought us to Oslo, and they supported Poland who in the organisation and delivery of the meeting.
