Commission seeks views on the revision of the Public Procurement Directives

The European Commission has opened a 12-week public consultation to gather views and evidence for the upcoming revision of the EU Public Procurement Directives. The initiative aims to modernise and simplify the rules, better align them with EU priorities such as strategic autonomy and sustainability, and support a more efficient public investment system.

Public authorities, businesses, civil society, social partners and academia are invited to contribute through a questionnaire on the Have Your Say portal, as well as by submitting data, studies or other evidence. The consultation runs until 26 January 2026, and the results will feed into a legislative proposal expected in Q2 2026.
