MedLab Thematic Week | Focus on Islands, Island Voices in the Mediterranean Agenda

This session is devoted to “Islands in the Mediterranean Agenda”, as part of the MedLab Thematic Week (2–4 December 2025).

MedLab Thematic Week brings together Mediterranean practitioners to strengthen cooperation and synergies across the region. Over three interactive sessions, participants from Interreg programmes, national authorities, the European Commission, and field actors explore how joint action can turn shared Mediterranean challenges into shared opportunities.

Building on last year’s successful experience, the Week aims to:

• foster a Mediterranean Community of Practitioners,
• highlight the role of project partners as drivers of cooperation across policies, funds, and territories, and
• generate practical insights to inform a more effective, evidence-based Cohesion Policy post-2027.

Across all three days, the Mediterranean is treated as a living laboratory for cooperation and reform — demonstrating how coordinated approaches can multiply impact and support long-lasting collaboration in the region
