Harmonized approach to capture & highlight the added value of Interreg

General

This online event will focus on jointly developing impact pathways - structured approaches that help define, measure, and communicate the added value of Interreg. The sessions will include:

  •  Introducing the impact pathways approach: Presenting the working document and collaboratively refining a methodology that programmes can use in their evaluations.
  • Selecting key impact pathways: Identifying and prioritizing impact pathways that best capture Interreg’s contributions.
  • Defining essential preconditions: Understanding the fundamental conditions necessary for successful impact pathways.
  • Developing an impact pathway: Developing the logical progression from activities to goals, ensuring clear alignment.

Background information

Interreg programmes play a crucial role in fostering European cooperation and delivering tangible benefits across borders. To strengthen the way we communicate and assess this impact, a dedicated pilot initiative has been launched, bringing together committed Interreg programmes and Interact. The initiative builds on an in-depth analysis of impact evaluations from the 2014-2020 programming period. This research examined how different programmes defined and presented their added value. As a result, a common working definition and key contributing elements were identified, setting the foundation for a harmonized framework for evaluation.

Please note participation in the event is by invitation only!
