Mediterranean Thematic Week 2025

MedLab

2–4 December 2025 | 10:00–12:00 CET (online)
Building on last year’s highly successful MedLab Thematic Week (around Mediterranean Day, ~28 November), we’re back with a sharper, solution-focused format to turn shared challenges into shared opportunities.

Purpose & vision

The Mediterranean’s challenges don’t stop at borders — and neither should our solutions. We’re convening a Mediterranean Community of Practitioners: Interreg programmes, national representatives, the European Commission, and field actors working together to multiply impact, strengthen synergies, and shape actionable recommendations.
As a living laboratory for cooperation and reform, the Mediterranean offers evidence to inform a more effective, results-oriented Cohesion Policy post-2027.

Three thematic sessions (10:00–12:00 CET)

  • 2 Dec – Water: Managing a Shared Resource: Water Governance Across the Mediterranean
  • 3 Dec – Islands: Island Voices in the Mediterranean Agenda
  • 4 Dec – Skills: Empowering Mediterranean People Through Skills and Learning
Horizontal theme: Interreg as a Policy Lab – Impact & Reforming Cohesion in the Mediterranean

Who should attend? Open to all the Mediterranean Community!

  • Practitioners working with EU funds
  • Interreg & EU project experts
  • Programme managers & national contact points
  • Policymakers & regional stakeholders
  • Representatives from UfM, WestMED, EUSAIR
  • DG REGIO and other relevant DGs

Stay tuned: Full agenda and registration link will be published here shortly.
